Bonnie Jansen is a Multimedia Journalist working with Newstalk ZB, the Herald and Herald Sport teams.
I’ve always wanted to be a sports journalist – I grew up playing sport and am very passionate about telling great sporting yarns. I came to this fantastic career through an unusual pathway - I studied a Bachelor of Communications majoring in radio before working as a brand manager with Hauraki and the Alternative Commentary Collective. From there I entered the Te Rito cadetship scheme, which gave me the opportunity to throw myself into sports writing and broadcasting.
