Area Description:

The Bay of Islands and inshore waters from Cape Brett to the Poor Knights Islands to Bream Head.

Situation:

A subtropical low moves to the east of the North Island today, accompanied by a front moving up the South Island. This front weakens as it crosses the North Island on Thursday, and is followed by southwesterlies. Another ridge builds over Aotearoa/New Zealand on Friday and then retreats to the North Island early Saturday, followed by an active front over the South Island later.
