Area Description:

The Bay of Islands and inshore waters from Cape Brett to the Poor Knights Islands to Bream Head.

Situation:

A southerly flow over New Zealand eases as a ridge of high pressure spreads onto the South Island on Monday and onto the North Island on Tuesday. The ridge then dominates over most of New Zealand but a moist northeasterly flow strengthens over the upper North Island on Thursday and Friday.
