Area Description:

The Bay of Islands and inshore waters from Cape Brett to the Poor Knights Islands to Bream Head.

Situation:

A disturbed westerly flow affects the country. A series of active fronts affect the western regions of both islands through Thursday and Friday. During Saturday and Sunday, a ridge of high pressure affects the North Island, while a moist northwest flow affects the South Island, bringing rain to western regions. On Monday, a front is expected to move onto the lower South Island. Meanwhile, a low in the north Tasman Sea is forecast to spread a front onto the upper North Island later in the day.
