The Bay of Islands and inshore waters from Cape Brett to the Poor Knights Islands to Bream Head.
A subtropical low moves to the east of the North Island today, accompanied by a front moving up the South Island. This front weakens as it crosses the North Island on Thursday, and is followed by southwesterlies. Another ridge builds over Aotearoa/New Zealand on Friday and then retreats to the North Island early Saturday, followed by an active front over the South Island later.
Wednesday: Southerly 10 knots, rising to 15 knots for a time early morning. Changing northerly 10 knots early afternoon, turning southwest 10 knots late evening. Sea slight. Fair visibility in a few showers. Easterly swell about half a metre.
Outlook until midnight Saturday: Thursday: Southwest 10 knots. Fine. Easterly swell half a metre. Friday: Southerly 10 knots. Partly cloudy. Easterly swell half a metre. Saturday: Southerly 10 knots, easing to variable 5 knots early. Fine. Easterly swell half a metre, rising to 1 metre.
