A series of fronts move over the country today followed by a strong southwest flow. The southwesterlies weaken tomorrow as a ridge of high pressure builds over the country. On Wednesday and Thursday the large high remains over the country. On Friday, the high moves away to the east ahead of a series of fronts approaching the South Island.
