Rugby: Mallett quits as Springbok coach

Nick Mallett has quit as Springbok rugby coach after reaching an undisclosed settlement with the South Africa Rugby Football Union this morning.

This follows a disciplinary hearing into a charge of misconduct against Mallett after he criticised high ticket prices for the Test match against Australia in August.

Mallett's contract terms forbid him from criticising the SARFU.

A replacement for Mallett is yet to be named.
