A military leader who has taken a tough public stance against separatist revolts in Aceh and Papua has been named as Indonesia's new Army chief.
Lieutenant-General Ryamizard Ryacudu, who heads the Army's strategic reserve Kostrad, replaces General Endriartono Sutarto who has been promoted to head the entire armed forces.
