Baby Crowe arrives

New Zealand-born Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe has become a father after his wife, Danielle Spencer, gave birth to a boy.

Charles Spencer Crowe was born in Sydney on Sunday night weighing 2.8kg, said Crowe's publicist.

"He's a healthy, bouncing baby boy."

Crowe and Spencer married in April and the couple announced the pregnancy in July.
