NZ beaten by Samoa in Las Vegas sevens

Samoa are the Las Vegas rugby sevens champions after beating New Zealand 33-12 in the final today (NZT).

Samoa won their fourth-ever International Rugby Board series tournament with an outstanding physical display which shut the series-leading New Zealanders out of the final. They scored five tries to two.

Earlier today New Zealand beat South Africa 12-5 in the quarterfinals and Kenya 21-7 in their semifinal.
