SYDNEY - South Sydney has denied it has given utility Craig Wing permission to talk to other NRL clubs.
Wing has been linked to a move away from the Rabbitohs in several media reports, with News Limited claiming the NSW State of Origin player was being targeted by Parramatta.
But
the Rabbitohs issued a release on Thursday angrily denying Wing had any kind of clearance to talk to other clubs.
"Rabbitohs have not given Craig Wing or management permission to negotiate with other NRL clubs," the statement read.
"Wing is contracted to the South Sydney Rabbitohs for the next two seasons, and the club wants Craig to honour that contract."
Aside from the Eels, Wing also denied reports yesterday he was heading back to his former club, the Sydney Roosters, as well as a possible move to English Super League club Bradford.
Reports in May suggested Wing was unhappy at the Rabbitohs after a rumoured A$150,000 ($194,678) third party deal with a real estate agency broke down.
