SYDNEY- Wests Tigers superstar Benji Marshall scored one try and set up two others to steer his side to a thrilling 30-26 win over South Sydney in the Return to Redfern rugby league trial on Sunday.
With New Zealand's Marshall at the helm, the Tigers charged to a
16-6 lead before a youthful Souths side missing most of their leading players fought back in the second half.
With Tigers coach Tim Sheens replacing most of his front line players, including Marshall, at halftime, the game became a more even contest.
The Rabbitohs stormed back to lead 26-22 in the final quarter, but the Tigers scored two late tries to win the game.
