Formula One motor racing world champion Michael Schumacher set a lap record at the Imola circuit today on the third day of testing of his new Ferrari, the F2003-GA model.
The Italian team reported that Schumacher's fastest lap at the 4.933km track was 1m 20.441s, six-tenths faster than last year's pole position for the San Marino grand prix at the same circuit.
The new model, named after the initials of Fiat's recently deceased chairman Giovanni Agnelli, is expected to make its debut in the fourth championship race, at Imola on April 20.
