KEY POINTS:
New Zealand motocross rider Josh Coppins dropped to fourth in the world MX1 championship standings after struggling at the British grand prix this morning.
Coppins, who suffered two broken toes in a pre-season training crash which is still affecting him, finished 11th overall after 11th and 12th placings in today's two heats at Mallroy Park.
The meagre 19-point haul saw Coppins lose ground to Rinaldi Yamaha teammate David Phillapaerts of Italy who leads the world championship with 223 points after finishing third overall today.
Coppins, who began the day third in the world championship, is on 168 points and was overtaken by Belgium's Ken de Dycker who has 175.
Second is defending champion Steve Ramon of Belgium on 195 points.
