Cricket: Demands threaten England's tour of India

England's cricket authorities could face losing more players from their squad for the upcoming tour of India if they fail to satisfy demands made by the Professional Cricketers' Association.

Association official Tim O'Gorman, who travelled to India last week alongside John Carr, the England and Wales Cricket Board's director of cricket, put together the wishlist which included a demand that a fulltime security official and a senior cricket board official accompany the squad.

The England selectors have already had to replace paceman Andy Caddick and spinner Robert Croft after they decided the tour was too risky. Any more senior defections would place the tour in doubt because the Indians are loath to play a second-string team.
