New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond will miss the first match in the cricket series against England on Wednesday due to a suspected stress fracture in his left foot.
A replacement has not yet been named.
Bond finished the recent tri-series competition between Australia, New Zealand and South Africa with easily the most wickets, 21, and was a genuine revelation for the Black Caps with his ability to make breakthroughs at the start and finish of innings.
New Zealand and England are due to play the first match in their one-day series at Christchurch on Wednesday.
