A woman is in a serious condition in hospital after the car she was driving crashed into a taxi in central Auckland this morning.
The crash happened about 1.30am this morning on Karangahape Rd, and the female driver was taken to Auckland City Hospital.
Karangahape Rd was closed for several hours following the crash.
The Serious Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the collision.
