Plasterer injured

A 65-year-old plasterer was last night having surgery in Christchurch Hospital after falling from scaffolding and breaking both his wrists. His son, who asked not to be named, was yet to speak with his father. "I was cooking up a nice feed for us, he never showed up. I've been trying to call him all afternoon. I just knew in my heart something was up with the old dude. I'm just glad he's
still alive."
