A Whanganui man was punched in the nose after he allegeldy sold the offender's brother a dead dog.
Tyson Lewis Williams pleaded guilty to one charge of assault when he appeared in the Whanganui District Court on Tuesday.
Police prosecutor senior sergeant, Stephen Butler, said that on May 30 Williams spotted the victim on the side of the road, approached him and yelled "you sold my brother a dead dog".
"[Williams] punched him in the nose and said 'it won't be so soft the next time'," Butler said.
Williams' lawyer, Jamie Waugh, said there was a lot of emotion riding high over the dog and Williams would like the chance to sit down with the victim and apologise.
