Barroso visit in doubt

The crisis in the eurozone has cast a shadow over a planned visit by the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso.

Mr Barroso is due to be here on September 7 and 8 for talks with Prime Minister John Key, an appearance at the Pacific Islands Forum and a Rugby World Cup match.

A senior source at the commission said the trip could be cancelled if the currency crisis continued.
