A major Melbourne intersection had to be sectioned off after a snake was found near Southern Cross Station.
The reptile was found near the corner of Collins and Spencer streets, close to Southern Cross Station, news.com.au reports.
Police have formed a cordon around the creature as they await a snake catcher, with the unusual sight drawing a large crowd which has spilt onto Spencer St.
One southbound lane of Spencer St had to be closed.
