Israel rebuffs World Court's security wall ruling

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon rejected the World Court's ruling on Israel's West Bank barrier as one-sided and politically motivated.

In his first public comments on Friday's non-binding opinion declaring the barrier illegal, Sharon said a Palestinian bombing in Tel Aviv that killed a woman yesterday was the first attack carried out "under the auspices of the ruling".

"Israel absolutely rejects the ruling of the International Court of Justice in The Hague," Sharon said.
