Travel Live: To the land of Vikings

Lynley Bilby is currently travelling from England to Norway on the Emerald Princess. She will be posting updates throughout the trip.

In just under an hour I shall be setting sail on the Emerald Princess to the land of the Vikings. Here's the view from my cabin.

We're docked in the Port of Southampton.

It won't be long before the Glovis Champion is replaced by an ice-capped Norwegian fjord - or so I hope.

It's always exciting walking into a cabin that until moments ago was random number R258.

This is what greeted me.

I'll report on the comfort factor later.

Given I had not eaten for the best part of seven hours this was a top contender for the best view of the day hands down.
