King Edward Park will be a riot of colour on Saturday, March 9, when the Stratford District Youth Council Colour in the Park event takes place.

The event marks the start of Parks Week and provides a creative way for the community to use the park, says Connor Giblin, Chair of Stratford District Youth Council.

"The Stratford District Youth Council's Colour in the Park was a great day out for the
whole family last year. We received a lot of positive feedback from everyone who
participated, so we are really excited to be able to do it again this year," says Connor.

"We are also increasing the number of tickets available, as it sold out so quickly last

In addition to the run/walk, there will be lots of other activities.

"Beyond the novelty of getting covered in coloured powder, the event will also have live music, performers, food vendors and spot prizes for best costumes."

■ Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased from the Stratford i-SITE or from and search "Colour in the Park".

Tickets are $5 for 24 years and under, $10 for adults and $25 for families – two adults and two children.
