Fabric-A-Brac, a nationwide group of volunteers that raises funds for Hospice NZ, is taking over the Bell Block hall on October 11 to sell fabric, trimmings, lace, sequins, patterns and more.
From 9.30am to 3pm on October 11, the Fabric-A-Brac New Plymouth team, as well as more than 30 individuals and groups will converge on the hall in Wynyard St, Bell Block, to set up tables groaning with fabrics, trimmings, craft books and supplies, patterns, threads, wool, leather, scrap-booking items, floral stuff and beads and bits for jewellery making.
Expect bargain prices - this is a major destash for all these sellers who seriously want to reduce the contents of their craft cupboards. It is not a craft fair - there are no finished or made up items, just supplies.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day so you can relax, recuperate and plan the best ways to squirrel your new treasures into your existing stash without anyone knowing (shhhh).
All funds raised through table hire and a raffle go to Hospice Taranaki. Last year more than $2500 was raised.
