Soccer: Gerrard sidelined for tackle

Liverpool and England soccer midfielder Steven Gerrard was banned for three matches by the Football Association yesterday after his two-footed tackle on Everton's Gary Naysmith in December.

Among the matches he will miss is tomorrow's FA Cup fourth-round replay with first division Crystal Palace.
