Soccer: Brazilian caught with his shorts down

Brazilian police arrested a minor league soccer player who stripped off his uniform to celebrate scoring a goal and threw his shorts into the crowd.

Television showed William Pereira Farias, of the Pontaporanense team, prancing around in skimpy briefs before flinging the shorts into stands full of jeering spectators.

"He broke the laws of respectful behaviour," a police spokesman said.

For the record, the match was drawn 1-1.
