Matti Hautamaeki, of Finland, produced the longest jump in ski-jumping history when he soared 227.5m in the qualifying session for the World Cup finals at Planicka, Slovenia, yesterday.
He bettered the previous mark of 225m by Austrian Andreas Goldberger in 2000.
