Rugby League: Wiki wins player of year award

Kiwis captain Ruben Wiki has won New Zealand Rugby League's player of the year.

The veteran Wiki led the Kiwis to an upset win over the Kangaroos last month.

He also picked up the Canberra Raiders player of the year award a few days ago.

Warriors and Kiwis inside back Thomas Leuluai won the Rookie of the Year prize.

Canterbury Bartercard Cup coach Phil Prescott picked up coach of the year.
