Stoked 39 is here! If you thought we had any intention to phone it in as the year peters out — you were WRONG, we refuse to stop!

This week we are so lucky to be joined by one of New Zealand's greatest sports columnists, Chris Rattue. We take you behind the column, find out what makes the man tick and how his award-winning pieces of literary gold manifest themselves.

Warning: May contain some coarse language and adult themes, recommended to ages 18+

A lot of people come across Chris' work and a lot of people don't agree with what they read. That often transforms itself into a distinct distaste and then perhaps a few misguided words being bashed into Facebook - many of them undeserved.

But, as we've learned above, they're far from contrived - quite the opposite. From a place of genuine, organic thought, Chris' yarns come to be.

On top of that we, of course, couldn't let the godfather stroll out of the studio without his thoughts on some of the Stoked Pod's favourite millennial muses.

We talk the current sports media landscape, the All Blacks, his career, sustainability and Lime Scooters.

Have a listen and tell us you can't appreciate the genius that is, Chris Rattue!

Stay Stoked!

Cheers, and as always, STAY STOKED.

Just to finish us off, a wee public service announcement as follows:

In case you didn't know we're actually coming at you with episode 39 of the series, (we know you knew, you're an intelligent Stoked listener). If this one tickles your fancy you can catch the backlog on Apple podcasts here, and iHeartRadio here.
