NZ Poker Champs in Christchurch down to final 54

There are 54 players remaining at the New Zealand poker championships main event.

Korean poker player Steve Ahn holds a commanding chip lead on the final day of the New Zealand Poker Championship Main Event at Christchurch casino.

202 poker players put up $1650 to enter Christchurch casino's marquee tournament, and 59 players re-entered, generating a prizepool of $391,500.

After the completion of Day 1a on Friday and Day 1b on Saturday, Ahn holds 354,300 in chips where the average for the remaining 34 players is 128,00.

The main event champion will take home $81,500.
