All Whites coach Anthony Hudson will re-consider Tommy Smith for national selection.

The Ipswich defender was blasted for his lack of commitment to the All Whites before the OFC Nations Cup in May, with Hudson stating he'd not pick him going forward.

However Smith reached out to Hudson after the OFC Nations Cup and apologised for his lack of communication.

Anthony Hudson says he's convinced the former All Whites captain wants to be a part of the side again.

He says he's also spoken to several senior players about his decision and they support it.

Smith is currently recovering from back surgery, but hopes to be available for international selection in March.
