To say the livery has received a mixed reception from fans would be an understatement. One comment on Ferrari’s social media post said: “This is the equivalent of putting pineapple on a pizza.”
Another wrote: “This could be the worst livery ever created.” While another said: “Ferrari is morphing into Williams right before our eyes.”
Racing Bulls
While many felt Ferrari should have gone “all in” or not bothered at all, no one could accuse Racing Bulls of holding back. Red Bull’s sister team unveiled an all-pink affair during a party in Miami Beach on Wednesday evening. This is F1, so the colour change was not just for fun.
“This is a first for Red Bull as the first ever can-inspired livery to launch a brand-new flavour in the US,” explained Red Bull’s CMO Olly Hughes. “The Red Bull Summer Edition White Peach flavour is made for summer, so where better to bring this to life than Miami?”
Racing Bulls’ Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson will also sport magenta race suits over F1’s second sprint weekend of the season.
Sauber
Sauber have stuck to the green and black of title sponsor Stake, but they have gone with a “celebration of Miami’s creative spirit” with paint thrown everywhere in an art car “inspired by Miami’s art scene”.
New team principal Jonathan Wheatley will hope it inspires Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto to leave their mark on the sixth grand prix of the season.
