New Zealand motocross rider Josh Coppins has finished fifth at the German MX1 grand prix this morning (NZT) to retain fourth placing in the world championship standiings.
Coppins placed third in race one and took a fifth in the second race to net 36 points.
With six rounds to go before the championship ends in September, Coppins is 64 points behind leader Antonio Cairoli of Italy.
Cairoli won the round with Germany's Maximilian Nagl second and Belgium's Ken de Dycker third.
