Motorsport: Besnard signed up for Taupo

Australian David Besnard has been confirmed to drive one of the Team SCG Racing Fords at Taupo's opening round of the New Zealand V8 championship this weekend.

Besnard will race alongside rookie Dale Williams and the team hoped to confirm Besnard;s entry for the full seven-round championship shortly.

The V8 field now comprises 28 entrants although the V8 development series class has been cancelled for the Taupo round due to a number of teams being unable to confirm entry.
