Santiago Botero, 29, of Medellin, won Colombia's first world cycling road title yesterday when he raced home in 48m 08.45s over the 40.4km course in Zolder, Belgium.
Michael Rich, of Germany, was second in 48m 16.69s and Igor Gonzalez de Galdeano, of Spain, third in 48m 25.60s.
