He'll back-up Brendon McCullum at the World Cup but Black Caps batsman Jamie How is struggling to recall the last time he donned the wicket keeping gloves in a competitive match.
How's been named as the reserve glove man in the World Cup after the selectors decided against naming a specialist back-up wicketkeeper.
He says wicketkeeping isn't something he's concentrated on for some time.
"It's been a while since I had the gloves on," he told RadioSport
"I've done a little bit through growing up and things but it has been a serious long while".
However he says he'll do anything to help the team and will relish the challenge if he has to wicketkeep.
