Two enter no plea over waiter bashing

The two men charged with attempting to kill an Auckland waiter in Fort Lane just over a week ago entered no plea in a court appearance this morning.

19-year-old Phillip James Taylor and 26-year-old Andrew Andre Poki face charges of aggravated robbery and the attempted murder of Stephen Byrne.

Mr. Byrne suffered permanent brain damage after being bashed for his wallet and keys. He is still in a coma.

The two men have been remanded in custody and will be back in court next week.
