Taranaki fence turns heads

Bras, bikes, shoes - now pigs. When it comes to creating novelty fences, Taranaki has taken a rural approach.

In Central Otago there's the bra fence, there is a shoe fence near Twizel and Egmont Village boasts a bike fence.

But wild pig skins draped along a fence deep in the eastern Taranaki hill country are raising eyebrows among travellers along State Highway 43.

The pig fence, with about 30 skins, is halfway between Stratford and Taumarunui at Tahora.
