A man has died in a single-car crash on Great North Road in Auckland tonight.
Inspector Chris Tate from police northern communications said the crash had occurred shortly before 5.30pm, near Kelston.
Emergency services tried to revive the man at the scene, but were unsuccessful.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident which may be linked to a medical event such as a heart attack, Mr Tate said.

There will be an autopsy as part of the investigation.
The Serious Crash Unit was at the scene, and diversions were likely to be lifted around 7.30pm.
