The mother of an 11-year-old boy hurt on a Dunedin hydroslide says she is still considering whether to take action against Moana Pool management.
Christopher Orkney's first hydroslide ride ended in horror when the North Otago boy emerged in tears and pain with his skin coming away in his hands.
Since heading down the Moana Pool hydroslide on Friday afternoon, Christopher has been in the children's ward at Dunedin Hospital with burns to his hands, arms, legs and stomach.
His mother, Katie Orkney, said the family would wait until he was better before deciding what action, if any, to take.
"I read that they had an engineer look at it and there weren't any problems, but that changes had been made. Why make changes if there are no problems?"
