Three people have been injured after the car they were in went off a country road near Hamilton.
One person was trapped in the car which landed upside down in a drain at the intersection of Ruakura and Percival roads, on the eastern outskirts of the city.
The crash happened at 3.55pm and firefighters were called to help extract the trapped person.
Police said the patients were taken to Waikato Hospital by St John ambulance with moderate to minor injuries.
The driver pf the Mazda was the most seriously injured but it's unclear if he was the trapped occupant.
Hamilton Police Senior Sergeant Simon Cherry said it was too soon to say what caused the crash.
It's the same road, but a different stretch, where a fatal accident happened in Hamilton on Thursday.
A 91-year-old woman, Margaret Elizabeth Stewart, was killed when she was hit by a truck as she crossed Ruakura Rd outside Hilda Ross Retirement Village about 11.15am.
That piece of Ruakura Rd has a 50km/h speed limit.
Ruakura Rd is currently blocked by police at the intersection with Wairere Dr and traffic is being diverted.
