A man has suffered a head injury and broken collarbone during a school camp near Raglan.
The 49-year-old Whitianga man was flown to hospital by the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter after injuring himself while setting up campsites in the bush yesterday.
The rescue helicopter was sent about 5pm to Mt Karioi.
St John paramedics and Fire Rescue staff treated the man for a head injury and fractured collarbone before he was carried by stretcher a short distance to the helicopter.
He was flown to Waikato Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
