Kiwis have been invited to join world-class cartoonists and illustrators for an opportunity to brush-up on their drawing skills.
Guests at an Auckland workshop next month will have the opportunity to put pens to sketch pads and learn from highly respected visual satirists.
The event's internationally recognised artists include Mad magazine's Anton Emdin, the Economist's KAL and Watermark's Daron Parton.
Also ready to share his wisdom is the Herald's own Rod Emmerson, who has attracted international attention recently with "clowngate", after the now-famous Michael Cheika clown cartoon.
The depiction drew the ire of the Australian rugby team in the wake of their 37-10 defeat at the hands of the All Blacks in October.
The notorious cartoon of the Bledisloe Cup-losing Wallabies coach caused such a stir it was also credited as the inspiration for a depiction of the Australian Prime Minister as a clown.
Central Queensland paper the Morning Bulletin featured a cartoon of Malcolm Turnbull wearing a clown nose and a floppy oversized bow-tie on its front page.
The hands-on event will be on January 14, 2017, in the NZME building in Auckland.
