Man 'critical' after falling down nightclub stairs

A 21-year-old Christchurch man was fighting for his life last night after an early-morning fall down stairs at a busy city nightclub.

The man suffered severe head injuries in the accident at the Neo Restaurant and Bar shortly before 2am yesterday.

Senior Sergeant Grant Wormald said it was unclear whether the man was drunk but there was no evidence of foul play.
