Lomu's girlfriend in car crash sequel

Jonah Lomu's girlfriend, Teina Stace, will complete a defensive driving course and then be discharged without conviction for crashing the All Black's sponsored car.

In the Wellington District Court yesterday, Stace, aged 22, pleaded guilty through her lawyer, Simon Hewson, to a charge of careless use of a motor vehicle on December 8.

Justices of the Peace remanded her to July 13 for a discharge without conviction following completion of the course.

Police said the car crashed down a bank and landed on its roof.

Stace suffered a broken right arm and bruising. She was alone and had only a learner driver's licence.
