The Wairarapa year 7 and 8 netball trials were held at the Genesis Recreation Centre in Masterton at the weekend and the standard of play was so high the selectors had a difficult job naming the 12 players for each side.

Trudy Hullena is coach of the year 8 team which is: Evie Langlands (St Matthews), Emma Stiven (St Matthews), Amy Young (Greytown), Bailey Peterson (Masterton Intermediate), Shontae Reeves (Masterton Intermediate), Anna Garnett (Masterton Intermediate), Tessa Johnstone (Masterton Intermediate), Cara Butcher (Masterton Intermediate), Rachel Cox (Carterton), Talia Hullena (Chanel), Sam McQuade (Chanel), Katarina Matapuku (Te Kura).
Also confirmed has been the Wairarapa under-15 netball team for 2007. The team is: Pohiri Gemmell (Wairarapa College), Grace Southey (Wairarapa College), Lara Carter (Wairarapa College), Grace Koskela (Wairarapa College), Courtney Hamilton (Wairarapa College), Sam Gordon (Wairarapa College), Samantha Taia (Wairarapa College), Shannon Sim (St Matthews), Sheridan Gallon-Puhara (Makoura), Waimarama Phillips (Kiuranui), Chantelle Gleeson (Kuranui).
