Child dies from injuries

A 3-year-old Palmerston North girl has died from head injuries suffered more than a week ago - and police say they are now investigating a homicide.

A 25-year-old man, described as "a caregiver", is on bail charged with assaulting a child, but police are considering the "appropriateness" of the charge.
