I approached the opening in the trees,
Staggering back I nearly fell to my knees.
What was I staring at? I wanted to shout!
It was God's design beyond any doubt.
It was faultless and pure; directed with care.
It could make even the strongest man sprout a tear.
So I stood there swaying to and fro.
It was an untouched wonderland,
A beautiful show.
Ribbon dancers slowly cascaded down,
Stopping roughly a metre from the ground.
Their enchanting dresses all shades of green,
One of the most glamorous costumes I'd ever seen.
An earthy fragrance erupted around,
Permeating from the green stage, without a sound.
That is when the frantic singers arrived,
Singing joyful harmonies as they darted and jived.
A tui the main act as it belted out the melody,
Filling my heart with happiness and glee.
Things began to slow down as the piano started.
Notes whirling as they gathered and parted.
They licked at banks and flowed past rocks,
Cradling leaves from nicks and knocks.
So as the production closed; what a sight!
I thanked God for his work; I am quite polite.
I took one last look at the delightful play.
I waved to the ribbon dancers on the stage.
So I stood there swaying to and fro.
It was an untouched wonderland,
A beautiful show.
