Air NZ flights not affected by LA airport shootings

Air New Zealand says none of its flights has been disrupted as a result of this morning's shootings at Los Angeles airport.

The airline has two flights scheduled to land in Los Angeles later today - one from Auckland and one from London.

Airline spokesman Mark Champion says he understands that LA airport is open to aircraft arriving and departing.

Road traffic to and from the airport has been restricted, however, and Mr Champion says that could affect the loading of aircraft.

He says a decision will be made later today on whether to delay the departure of the two Air NZ planes from Los Angeles, which would affect flight NZ 1 to London and NZ 2 to Auckland.
