Carole Middleton is reportedly trying to protect her daughter Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, from the family’s financial woes.
Princess Kate’s parents Carole and Michael reportedly owe more than £240,000 ($500,000), following their business The Party Pieces Company going into administration in 2023.
Kate Middleton’s mother, Carole Middleton, isreportedly trying to protect the Princess of Wales from the family’s debt.
Insolvency firm costs have added to the original debt of £2.5 million ($5.25m), British media outlets have reported, and Party Pieces assets were insufficient to cover consultants fees, says The Times.
Interpath Advisory’s consultants’ average hourly rate is believed to be £566, and quickly ballooned, with the Middleton’s business owing £260,000 in fees to the firm.
The business entered the US market in 2021 - however financial backers withdrew not long after.

Carole is reportedly trying to shield Kate so she can focus on recovering from cancer and being with her young family.
“It’s a stressful time at the moment and she will be pulling out all the stops to shield her daughter from this,” royal commentator Afua Hagan told Us Weekly.
