One of New Zealands leading golfers, Josh Geary has started with a bang on the opening day of the Made in Denmark to shoot a round of six-under par to be in second place on The European Tour.
Things were looking good for Geary who made seven birdies in just eight holes between the fifth and 12th before a slow finish cost him a share of the lead.
Geary set the early pace, making eight birdies in just 10 holes to captivate the crowd in Denmark, but he will be ruing dropped shots 13 and 18 to finish with a round of 66.
With a six-under total, Geary is in a six-way tie for second and two shots back from leader Jonathan Thomson of England at the Silkeborg Ry Golf Club.
