Kiwi golfer Danny Lee has given himself a shot at a top-10 finish at the Travelers Championship on the PGA Tour.
A four-under par third round of 66 saw Lee improve to nine-under for the tournament and jump six places up the leaderboard into a four-way tie for 11th with one round to play.
Shooting 67 and 68 in his opening two rounds respectively, Lee made the most of his opportunities on the back nine to claim four of his five third round birdies. Had it not been for a bogey on the 17th, Lee would have ended the day in a tie for sixth at 10-under.
The Kiwi sits seven shots behind leader Paul Casey of England, whose third round 62 moved him up four places on the leaderboard. He now holds a four-shot lead with one round to play.
In Arkansas, Lydia Ko saw her recent form continue in the second round of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship, holding strong in a tie for 15th place.
